Curated by Calvocoressi, the exhibition explores Hodgkin’s fascination with light, color, and nature. Serota curated three exhibitions of the artist’s work during his lifetime, at the Museum of Modern Art, Oxford, England (1976); Whitechapel Art Gallery, London (1985); and Tate Britain, London (2006). In addition to reflecting on Hodgkin’s life, his creative journey, and his enduring legacy, the participants will discuss his deep connections with Impressionism and post-Impressionism, his passion for India, and other influences that shaped his art.
