The Hepworth Wakefield presents a new limited edition rug, created by Hodgkin in partnership with Christopher Farr, a London based company that has been at the forefront of contemporary rug design since 1990.

In Summer 2017, The Hepworth Wakefield stage the first comprehensive exhibition to explore the enduring influence of India on Hodgkin’s work, a place he returned to almost annually, since his first trip to the country in 1964, over 50 years ago.

The first survey of Hodgkin’s work in portraiture opens at the National Portrait Gallery this week. It is curated by Paul Moorhouse and titled ‘Absent Friends’.

It is with great sadness that we report the death of Howard Hodgkin on March 9th, peacefully in hospital in London.
