Notes: This painting was exhibited in its first state at Waddington Galleries, London, then later in its second and final state at M. Knoedler & Co., New York. The painting commemorates a dinner party given by the art critic Robert Hughes following the opening of Hodgkin’s exhibition at the 1984 Venice Biennale.
