Small Durand Gardens

Notes: The title refers to the address of Richard Morphet, curator of Hodgkin’s first retrospective exhibition, at the Tate Gallery, London, in 1976. In 2000, he organized ‘Encounters: New Art from Old’ at the National Gallery, London, for which Hodgkin created Seurat’s Bathers PA359. See also Interior Durand Gardens PA116.
